ebay 930 ??????

i have been following the sale of a '79 930 on the ebay for the last couple of days. as of this morning it was up to $12,300 and 13 bidders. about ten minutes ago i got the notification that the item is ending soon, i went to look to see what it was up to, and lo and behold.....it was down to $2425 and only 2 bidders. i looked at the bid history and saw that bidders 1 through 11 were out . curious, went back to have another look at the page and saw that now the car has a buy it now of $8900 and you must be pre-approved to bid. this was changed about six hours ago. also , there were a few questions from prospecive buyers that have now disappeared.
i have seen the buy it now scam before, but not one that starts out as an allegedly normal auction. is it just about getting email addresses and then trying to get the passwords that go with them?

Certianly seems odd to cancel a bid for $13.5k, only to put a Buy it now for $8900.

Sure makes me say hmmmmm?

Zero Feedback for the seller does'nt make me feel warm and
fuzzy either.

Bid is back up to $7500.
I emailed the seller and asked him why all those bids were cancelled. I'll let ya know if he responds.

I emailed the seller and asked why all those bids were cancelled, and also asked where the car was located as the listing only said USA. I got no reply on either question.

The whole thing is a joke.

I just received an email from Ebay warning me not to accept any second chance offers from that seller. They also said not to deal with him outside of ebay, yada yada yada.
They said any communications with the seller could be an attempt to obtain my email address, or other personal info.

Kinda figgered that
