Question PCA - Porsche Club America state issued license plates???

Anyone have PCA license plates?
Apparently some states issue optional Porsche Club plates -

I searched the Colorado DMV and don't see them listed anywhere. Typical, damn.

I just checked and South Carolina doesn't have them, but they do have 6 different NASCAR plates and one for Square Dancing (wtf?).

Maryland was the first and I believe is the only one to have the 'closed' PCA logo on it. I'm proud to have PC0001. I was region President when the plates were developed. Lots of hard work by some key people, but it passed all the loops and regulations. People still walk up to the plate and check to see if the logo is just a sticker, which it isn't, all part of the plate.

Anyone have a used set (yes, take them off and get another - it is legal) they'd be willing to sell?

Oddly enough, an acquantance is looking for a pair for display.

Thanks to this thread you got me wondering if there was an initiative under way to get PCA plates in VA...and there is:

http://fst.pca.org/pcaplates.htm

So all of you Virginia Pelicans sign up for the PCA plates

We had State issued plates in Colorado for our Parade in 1998.

They were actually good for the week of the Parade.

Wonder if MD will let you put a 'i do not support Motorscheister' disclaimer on those PCA plates?

Kind of a bummer that a PCA plate is an indirect endorsement of a shop with such a horrible reputation.

amazing how pca license plates and Motor Meister can somehow be connected...mabye we should start a new thread, the Six Degrees of Motor Meister.

Like I said before, threads and links don't cut it, we need letters to PCA about first hand complaints regarding any advertiser before we start throwing out a guilty verdict.

Manny no offense but this is a little like a cop watching a drug deal but failing to make an arrest because nobody filed a formal complaint.

The MD plates do look good though.

The "Parade" plates are NLA as they were issued to the entrants only and by CO DMV for this special event.

The Plate #'s were the Parade entrants registration # for the event.

Manny and all i apologize for my semi-derailment of an otherwise good thread.

I can be a moron at times and this is certainly not the thread for the MM issue.

Nice plates guys!

berettafan,

No - I sold it last August. I kind of miss it.

The SweetE still applies as I still have a 912E, which is really Sweet

I understand the very nice couple I sold it to were able to purchase a "SWEET E" plate for it in their state.
