Question Where can I buy an OE Dead Pedal?

I want the OE dead pedal (not an aftermarket imitation) for my Carrera 3.2 and I think that this is my only option.

But I'm having trouble finding a reputable seller. Pelican doesn't have it. MS Road & Race has it. But the very mixed reviews that I've seen here make me nervous about buying from them.

Art- I have an original factory dead pedal, and have had one from
MSRoadRace. They're so close it's amazing. Very good quality.

I bought a very nice one from Pelican Parts. At first I did not like it because it did not fit my '89 Cabriolet. I worked on it with my mechanic (after removing the floor board, carpet and pedal covers) we machined it a little and made it fit snugly against the wall. Looks good now........

real550A,

Are you saying the one that you bought from MS Road & Race is not a Porsche part? I did not realize that they sold more than one type.

Or are you saying that the original factory dead pedal is the one that was welded in at the factory and the MS Road & Race is a factory dead pedal but is the bolt in type?

They said that they have the "Factory unit" for $72.

Art, In my opinion, the original Porsche part with factory part #
seems to be slightly heavier gauge metal. The stamping itself looks
identical. The "new" one may be an updated factory part, but there is no indication of that.

Mike,

Okay, now I understand.

So your buying experiences with MS Road & Race have been okay?

Dave (Road and race) is a good guy, you can trust him. His shop is 10 min from my house, use to go there all the time.

I got my deadpedal from MS Road & Race today. It has an authentic looking Porsche sticker on it with a P/N of 901 501 825 00 GRV; so I'd be surprised if it is not a Porsche part.

Thanks for the help!
