Issues with early muffler on SC?
I am sure this is in the archives somewhere, but I think this is a case of too much info to sort through.
I am thinking of using a stock early style muffler to go with the early style HE that I am planning on putting on my SC. I think I have found there may be interference issues with the valance, but not much info beyond that. Will the early muffler flow enough for a 3.0L? I am considering the flowmaster, but am afraid it will sound like V8. This I don't want on my 911. May end up adding an outlet to the standard muffler for a little more sound. Anyone done this? Comments on install and sound? Sorry, but a M&K or Monty, etc. is not in the budget. Thanks, Ben |

Nope. An early muffler off anything that predates a '74 will not work on an SC. The tip on the early Leistritz muffler hits the valance. BTDT.
