info on 1967 911 speedster
hey guys, this car was in a sept 1972 R&T article. it was built by a stan townes. does anyone have any info on this car. I would like to get some better pics. I'm hoping it's in a museum somewhere and somebody will remember seeing it. it was originally built at anderson-behel volks-porsche in san jose. I think it's a very pretty car. thanks, Don.

If you can find the VIN you can check with Cal. (& other state) DMV (s) to see if it is registered for road use. Might be able to track it down and get some photos.

do a search on "Stan Townes". There are a couple of threads on it.
Beautiful car. If I ever do a project car, that would be it...

due to the rebecca shaefer stalker/ murder (sp?) case, you can't get personal info on cars in california anymore from DMV.

that's right -- but you can get other information and (big surprise?) you can often track down somebody -- or an investigator can
