1. What is the correction location for the dead pedal? Obviously it will be where I can put my foot on it comfortably. But I'm looking for accurate dimensions from a common reference point so that I can put it in the factory location.
2. I'm pretty sure that the OE attachment method was only welding which I probably won't bother with. So I'm probably going to either use blind rivets or bolts with nuts. Does anybody have any recommendations based on installing their own dead pedals?

I pop rivetted my home made one... You could probably use duct tape to hold it into position for trial fitment. Then drill and pop it... Lou

I didn't know this was OE. I would think most comfortable for you would be the best location.
I don't track so I just used screws with silicon. Feels solid to me. By the way, this is a great improvement.

The pop rivets don't seem like they would be anywhere near as stiff as bolts. But maybe that doesn't matter.
Maybe tack welding would be better.
