CENTARI® or Base / Clear Q
My painter uses CENTARI® (I have too) and Dupont has a has a direct crossover to my paint code 908. I have heard good things about base coat / clear coat also. What do you guys think?

I used Centari a lot in the 80's. It is good paint, plain and simple. The newer bc/cc urethanes are pretty much the standard, they have great gloss and hold up well. The newer urethanes color sand and polish easier than the Centari. If your painter can lay it down flat in a good booth without dust, Centari is a viable option. If it will need sanding and polishing, the urethane would be a better choice.
Cost wise, the Centari will be cheaper. Personally, I use bc/cc on my full restorations and paint jobs. Ed

Don't confuse Centari with Centari 5000 which is a single stage urethane. I like the old, too. Dupont owns Nason and they have a couple of lines of acrylic enamel well suited for under hood, etc. A lot less money, too.
