915 tranny identification
I have done a extensive search and cant seem to find the identification info for the 915 trannys. There are a couple posts of scanned papers with the gearing info for the 901,902,905,911 trannys but I cant find them for the 915 trannys. If anyone has anything could you please post it. thanks.

Do you have the tranny type numbers ie 915/06 or 915/73
These happen to be 1974 and 1986 915 5 speed's respectively. There are a lot of different ID's between those years. Also serial number will help narrow it down for you. I do not have a source for the gear ratio's per year, but a bit more info would yield better feedback from the board IMO.

here are the two i am looking at.
915/12 #722087 915/?? #716467 Where is a good reference for this information? I flipped thru bruce A's book found a lot of info on engines but not much on trannys. thanks guys.

The 915/12's are the first 915's made between 1971 and 1973. The reference I have is a sheet from Stoddards called 911 Body and Engine I.D.
There are no tranny serial numbers for pre-74 that I can find and the 74's start at 724xxxx for the 4 speed and 734xxxx for the 5 speed. Hope that helps.
