That looks really nice Jeremy. That may have to be next upgrade.

Any huge difference in ride or noise?

Yeah i'm doing this also. I was going to skip the monoballs but maybe I shouldn't.

As far as noise - no real difference. My wrench was pretty impressed - and it takes alot to impress him. |
The guy that put mine together was blown away, also.
A lot of 'experts' said that I would hate the ride but I love it! My wife even thinks it rides well [and I refer to her as 'The Princess and the Pea']. The secret in keeping your 'ride' for the street is the tires. Enhance your suspension but don't put too low of profile tires on it. If you need extreme performance, have a set of larger wheels with low profile tires just for those times. I took a pair of 16"X 8" Fuchs [stock on the rear of my early '89], added 1" H&R spacers. The front has 16" X 7" Fuchs [not stock]. 22mm front, 29mm rear hollow torsion bars, sealed mono balls, poly/bronze bushings and bearings [throughout], Bilstein 'Sport' shocks [R], Bilstein H.D. [F], low friction a-arm mounts, bump steer, front mono balls w/integrated/triangulated front tower brace, Wevo semi solid engine mounts. This set up rides soooooo nice! The 'experts' were wrong. I am not an expert but I know how my car rode before the enhancements and it's personality. I just put together a system considering the personality of my car's handleing. Drums |
