Anybody know this 930?

A friend of mine is looking for a late eighties 930 and came across this one on e-bay in Coral Springs, FL. Does anybody know this car or a good one for sale?

Thanks
David

Wow, with the exception of the turbo flares and 'turbo' script, that looks just like my SC!

That car has been on ebay before. Not that that means anything, just an observation. He's probably relisted it hoping the reserve gets met.

It looks good. When it was listed before we were commenting on how difficult it is to keep that light interior looking that nice.

I agree that the price is extremely high for an '88. The seller is getting greedy if he thinks his car is worth more than that, regardless of the low miles.

However you need $50K to get into a 993TT and at that it will be a high mileage car. More like $70K for a nice 993TT

I can think of 3 reasons to pass:

1) it's a florida car (always makes me wonder)
2) white interior looks perfect, although ugggggh
3) less than 20k miles

Of course, you didn't ask anyone's opinion on the car but this is PPBB--we don't need to be asked for our opinion..

Thanks for the feedback. I had suggested he look at 993's and even 996's for that kind of money. He seems pretty set on a 930 or 964 Turbo but you should be getting pretty much exactly what you want with respect to colors and impeccable maintenance history at that level.

He also knows not to commit to anything without a full PPI.

For that kind of money I'd opt for the 964T, unless he has a museum in need of a perfect '88 930.

My suggestion for the 993 was due to a couple of factors.
1. Close to the same HP without the turbo maintenence, or its lag.
2. More refined / developed car.

I don't think you can compare the stock HP of a 930 to the HP of an NA car. It's just too easy to add another 100hp. Now adding another 200-300 hp is another story.
