Rev's (RPM's) drop too fast when i take my foot off the gas...???

I have a porsche 911 sc 1982 when i take my foot off the gas the rpm's decelerate way too fast, it just drops when i switch gears....is there anything that can be changed? will this be fixed with an MSD 6al install?? Thanks a lot. Arvin

Cool

If you're still running CIS, then you should have a decel valve to take care of that. Look all the way to the back of the engine bay, just left of the throttle body. If it's like mine, it will be adjustable. Have a fiddle.
