fog light switch illumination
Is the fog light switch light supposed to be on when the headlight switch is on and illuminating the instruments or on only when pulled out to turn on the fog lights? 81'SC
my light will not come on - bulb is ok. any ideas? |
FYI, my fog light switch is only lit when the headlights are on and the fog light switch is pulled. If the headlights are off so is the fog light switch regardless of being in the on or off position. Also, the fog light switch and the fog lights should go out when the high beams are energized.

At least on the early cars the light is only supposed to be on when the switch is on, the headlights (low beams) and the ignition of course.

My fog light switch is illuminated only when the fog light switch is pulled out and when the headlights are switched on. Other wise it is off. Do your fog lights go on even though the switch does not illuminate? If so it must be the switch.

My fog light switch is illuminated when the light switch is pulled out. When the fog light switch is also pulled out, it glows BRIGHTER.

Is this really a significant question, or are you guys just so bored with election coverage in the media that something just came out of the woodwoork?

I'm bored. My wife would kill me right now if I started a big P-project, but we need some stuff to talk about.

Yeah, bored too. Trying to sleet on us here in Louisiana and no LSU game today. Can't drive the SC, and no Tigers. Time to get together our Christmas wish list. Remember guys, aim high!

Maybe I should liven things up with another fake (plastic?) Intercooler question and see if Leland can't get blamed for that again --- boy, did I get a chuckle out of that --- I kept quiet as a mouse and watched from afar --- just couldn't resist! I'm sure Leland will hit me with another rash of "lame"s to get even! http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/biggrin.gif
