More like two weeks, but yes the trip was 5,200 miles. I've probably got 5,500 miles on them and still driving but the rears are getting pretty thin in the centers!

Leave as is.
Lowering the car further, below euro ride height and such wide wheels at front will be difficult to camber. You’ll probably need up to -2.
Driveability on straights will be very nervous
Rolling the lip is a must.

oficially Porsche withdrew admission for 7s front on SC due to fender clearance problems (Euro ride height).

Are you absolutely positive that if the car came with 15" wheels they were 6"FR/7"RR?

My Swiss market MY87 car came with 15" wheels from the factory (option 401) and they are 7" front and 8" rear. Yes, I understand that it is possible that they were changed sometime before I got the car, but with its overwhelmingly stock condition at that time, I suspect not. I know that's hardly definitive, but it's all I got, and thus my question.

Of course this does not reflect what can be done with the car after delivery (and adjusting height, camber off the Porsche spec).

e.g. in Germany you need an individuall TüV check when running 7s front and 8/9s rear.

Not all SC or Carrera had 6 & 7 only

the first oe 7 & 8 x15 Fuchs oe option was on the '76 Carrera 3.0, tires were either 185/70 & 215/60 or as a separate option 205/50 & 225/50
the next was '80 SC Weissach Edition tires were 185/70 & 215/60
next was all 3.2 Carrera tires same as the Weissach except some fronts were 195/65

There were no 7 & 8 x16 fitments on any of these cars
