Anyone have any experience disassembling stock Carrera seats looking for ways to lose weight? Aside from removing the electric motors, any other "opportunites" in there.
I really like my seats for comfort, but at ~45lbs Thanks, Dan

I think your stuck with race seats or make some...a good set will weigh less then 15 lbs ea.
I have a Huey pilot seat here weighs maybe 10 lbs. I am considering stealing the ideas from it to make my own. ( There was already a do/ dont safety thread on this so dont go there )

Banned but not out, yet..

Ditch your seats. There is no way to par the weight down. There are plenty of excellent aftermarket seats available that weigh a fraction of what you have - and they are extremely comfortable as well.
