Looks like a nice car for the money. Recommend a PPI to confirm!

Seems a little pricey to me... Completely stock, no pic of driver's seat, obvious leaks under motor, no mention of any work done... Pricey to me.

I like it.
That metallic blue is very hard to match, and if there ever any body work, the panels would not match. All the panels look like they match, and looks like original stickers in the engine room.

I like it, but primarily because it's Minerva Blue. If it were red/black/white, it probably would go for a lot less IMO. Having a unique color is worth a reasonable premium to some though (including me).

Here is another one you may want to keep an eye on:

My "Lilmama" 79SC, Tobacco Brown, is at least this cars measure, that being said $14,000.00 American dollars would be reasonable, $16 to $18 Canadian, if the car checks out, bullet proof and great fun, upgrading is a natural progression.

The only thing I didn't like was that it looked like there was some rust on the CV, and on the protective tray for the fuel pump ect. But I have a nack for finding rusty porsche's so I am naturally a bit touchy with even a hint of a problem.

And it is expiration day what are you doing on Pelican?

Looks great. However, it's in Colorado. Who knows where it's from originally, but if it's a CO car, rust under that paint is something to consider.

I used to live there, and other parts of the midwest.
Salt on the roads to melt ice.
Slush.
Definitely a mechanical and bodywork PPI!

Prem for a unquie color? ok

I think its over priced by the engine leaks ...Dealers tend to make the cars look extra shiny, why would you pay dealer costs on this?

Better off getting a car on the board or locally and getting the car PPI'd

I learned the hard way

Congrats on the adoption! I have a 7 month old who is starting to intereact and it's a ton of fun.

That looks a little overpriced, but it is a great color.

This one that Eric Coffey posted looks great! Buy this one if a PPI checks out.

Thoughts: Have they verified the paperwork that is available? People who keep original manuals are anal (re: SHOULD have taken care of her), Is it me or does the bottom end look like it has been cleaned? (mine had oil/dirt build up on the bottom seam after the studs broke). Otherwise, I'd ahve a Colorado guy look at it, looks maintained. Remember, I'm no expert, large grain of salt, etc...

I have an 81....

some thoughts.

1. With that mileage, leak downs and 915 trans synchros need to be checked out. I can definitely see synchros being an issue with mileage. PPI is a must. SCs are durable but....
2. Is it me or does the dash look a little messed up over the guages. Good luck finding another blue dash for an SC - check that - that is not a job you want to do as windshield needs to come out to change dash.
3. front bar under front valance looks rusty or maybe its pictures.
4. the car looks like its been lowered at some point or is saggy.
5. Check to see what the deal is on A/C as it looks to have a newer compressor.

but on the plus side, looks all stock, i see they even retained the power antenna.

PPI and go see it.

Oh and just an FYI, that dealership is not a bargain. I'm expecting they are going to be asking $19999 or something close to that.

Uh, beg to differ however we don't use salt on Colorado roads. Haven't in many, many years. Plus, we have no humidity therefore summers are extremely dry, and winters even dryer. Cars tend to preserve well. Although do to the sunshine and dryness, you see warping and cracking of the dash.

I'm just guessing about the price...they are on Coast Highway in Encinitas = expensive lot. They specialize in hard to get and exotic stuff = expensive.

Colorado cars generally are rust free if cared for. We don't use salt and the roads are generally dry in winter, this year not withstanding. Both cars seem nice. I really like the blue one because I've always liked minerva blue.
