Boxster wheels on a 77 S?

I am looking into some Boxster wheels for my 1977 S. Anyone know if they will fit without a lot of work???

I placed a second post just to get the topic back up top. Time is important as the deal I am looking at is being looked at by others! Any help is appreciated!

There is a massive difference in offset between the Boxster wheels and the wheels that were build for your car. I don't know if you actually can make them fit, but I do know that it's not easy.

It's the same reason you don't see Technology wheels on 3.2 Carreras (those you might have seen are replicas)

Sorry I missed this one yesterday.
There are a number of people using 6 & 7 x 16
boxster wheels on pre '78 cars.
I posted a similar question in August and got several replies. Unfortunately, a search has failed to turn up the best of the replies (one included a photo). If I can find it I'll pass it along.
The facts as I understand them:

Offset on the 6x16 is 50mm.
Offset on the 7x16 is 40mm.
I've verified the offsets first hand.
205/225 tire combination can be used but at least one respondent said they were using spacers.
I can't remember the spacer sizes.
I'm kind of counting on this working since I bought a set from Wheel Enhancement to use on '73 that is currently under re-construction.
The suspension is competely off so I haven't been able to do any trial fittings for spacers, clearances etc.
I'll look for the rest of the info and (hopefully) the Pic and re-post if I find them.
Good luck.
Joe
