JC

wow!! that thing is moving along. I hope you'll have her ready for rgruppe this spring, scruffy 1 will be there... so stay away from the beers so you don't scream at me again! ;-)

seriously bro, looks good!

Jeremy Cottrell 01-30-2007 04:47 PM

Thanks Porsche911girl, you are obviously a woman of taste :)

James, I only yell at you when you are going to do something terrible to Scruffy :D

Tyson, stay off the sauce, it is clouding your judgement.

So I take it you're not a Pink Floyd fan. :(

BTW, I like the black center Fuchs on your car.

randywebb 01-30-2007 07:00 PM

I'd go for the pyramid/prism -- not the crazed scream....

Tyson Schmidt 01-30-2007 07:30 PM

Totally sober, and still thinking about my black car with a Dark Side of the Moon livery.

Am I crazy?

(no pun intended)

randywebb 01-30-2007 08:41 PM

OF course!

But the paint job is not a bad idea.

Jeremy Cottrell 01-31-2007 06:57 AM

I am a Pink Floyd fan, just not such a screaming-face-on-the-hood kind of guy. I could see Rob doing it, but not me.

I am considering red houndstooth seats like Curt Egerer's car. I think with the 917-10 thing that would be pretty wild.

nameisbauer 02-20-2007 10:00 AM

That 917 style would look great. Red, Black and white, it doesnt get any cleaner/bolder than that.

CurtEgerer 02-20-2007 10:23 AM

>>>I was poking around looking for 1972 racing livery which had a base color of white and came up with the 917-10. <<<

Hmmm, why hasn't somebody done that before? There're some real possibilities with that livery! I think I'd try to incorporate the same type stripes somehow - maybe even a single stripe down the middle - rather than the Brumos-style. We need a resident photoshop expert for times like these ...

nameisbauer 02-20-2007 11:18 AM

Is this what you mean when you say Brumos style?

One of my previous projects -- back in the 80's when slope was OK.

inspired by the L&M 917.

gostraight 02-20-2007 03:42 PM

good job Jeremy! It'll look good in front of Starbucks on Sunday @2:00

marmot 02-27-2007 07:26 PM

Jeremy -- what kind of camber are you running in the rear?

Larry_Ratcliff 02-27-2007 08:04 PM

looks great. Is that gran prix white?

Jeremy Cottrell 03-01-2007 11:59 AM

Thanks for the kind words guys. I was thinking of the stripes on the side like the 73 RSR. However, I do like the idea of one big red stripe like that slant-nose. I would probobly do thinner black stripes.

I have not set the alignment yet, but it looks like about 3 degrees negative

I am not sure about the color, it was painted when I got it. It does look like GP white, but it may change with more waxing.

marmot 03-01-2007 12:04 PM

Thanks Jeremy. That thing is *****in.'

Are you going to add the smaller rubber hood straps to the hood and bumper? I was wondering how they'd look with a clean S Bumper.

pieterk 03-07-2007 04:30 PM

The car looks great Jeremy! Thanks for the tip last night. Next time you'll have to take the covers off it and let me see it for real.

Oh, and landing lights would be awesome!

For the Pink Floyd fans, you could buy this jersey to compliment your fresh livery:
