Auxiliary Air Regulator - Help!
I've been having the common problem of a high idle (2000 RPM) that lasts until the engine reaches operating temperature on cold days.
I took the AAR off and only got 17.6 ohms across the terminals compared to the 33 specified in the Haynes manual. Does this definitely mean the heater in the AAR is burnt? I also jumped the fuel pump relay (30 and 87a) and got 11 volts at the AAR electrical connector. Is that close enough to 12 volts to be effective? I just want to make sure I have the right part in mind before ordering an expensive replacement. My main concern is that it may be the Auxiliary Air Valve instead. Thanks in advance, Olivier 82 SC [This message has been edited by ohecht (edited 11-24-2000).] [This message has been edited by ohecht (edited 11-24-2000).] |
