Muffler Question - can I trim this piece
I want to fit this dansk until I get my MK from Ben - but this one is a little tight against the back of the case - Can I trim this piece a little with my dremel - or don;t worry about it??
![]() ![]() PS - I'll probably be selling this soon after I receive my MK - so don't want to effect resale...

I may be more inclined to tap it flat with a hammer and or dolly.
Cheers

How much you need to remove...If it's too much...you will create a weak area...!

How about a pair of spacers/spare flanges between the exchangers and the muffler? [if there is enough room to move the muffler aft] No mod required .

Well the other side has flanges cut for holding the muffler straps - so didnt think it would be a big deal - Maybe I'll just leave it

Seriously, the BFH is probably the way to go on this. It should keep the seam strong and is a simple fix.

Jeremy, I recall somewhere that a domestic American car, maybe a Chev ,has the same spec flange and is available from any muffler shop. Sorry I cant be more specific, perhaps someone will chime in with the info.

I agree - besides the the fact that you would be grinding away the seal where the two pieces meet, it will also be much more satisfying to beat the crap out of it with a large hammer.
