Fumoto Drain Valve
Can anyone who has installed a fumoto drain valve on their oil tank please tell me if the thread length is the same as the original drain plug?
Thanks T-RONE ________________ 87 CARRERA COUPE |

I can't comment on the 911 plug, but the one on my G35 was exact. The only drawback is that the opening is VERY small and takes FOREVER to drain. I can just imagine how slow it will be if you put them on your sump & tank.

Not sure about thread length but I had no trouble installing one on my '74 about two years ago.

Thanks guys, the reason I ask is that the beginning 1/3 of the threads on the oil tank are stripped. If I order one, I want to make sure the threads are long enough to catch.

If I remember correctly, there is a pretty significant amount of thread to hold it on.
