I am in process of installing the factory short shift kit in my car. I have everything apart but am having an impossible time breaking the 22mm locknut that holds the housing together. It will not break loose. I weigh 220 lbs and cranked it with all of my body weight and no luck. Anyone have a suggestion. Maybe some heat?

A 6-point 22 mm socket and 18" breaker bar ... with the housing firmly bolted to the tunnel, or suitable plate.

I got it busted knuckle and all. Anyone know what size allen wrench is needed to remove the set screw on the shift lever coupling? I am going to change the bushing while I am in there. Thanks!
