Exhaust mods and the sounds they make

I replaced my cat with a pip, put the Bursche muffler on, and also, if you can believe it, I actually got a Pep Boys exhaust tip with "resonator" and popped that on there as well.
Loud? Jesus H. Christ yes.
The coolest part is idling, like at a drive through. I sit there and bathe in the "rum rum rum..." sounds so cool, I sweat.
Oh, and revving the engine puts the fear of God into folk like nothing else.

I know what you mean. I have to turn mine off when it's time to order at the drive-thru. Either that, or block off one of the outlets.

On a related note... pun intended, I passed my British G'friend the other day returning from work on some UK farm twisties. When she got in the house she said, "Isn't that beautiful"? And I said, "what"? and she said, "the sound of that enginge screaming past you at RPM" I knew she was a lil racer girl but I thought those kinds of comments came only from fanatic nut-cases like us. I think I shall keep her... (the girl that is, the car always stays. No question)

Oh, and Jack I don't know whether to tell you to stop posting pictures or keep posting them. I always get jealous when I see that ride. God that is a pretty car!

I've got dual outlet sport exhaust on my "S". I picked it up one Thursday at lunch, planning to go back to work -- that didn't happen. I burned up a whole tank of gas, it sounded and felt so great!

I told my buddy at work about it the next day. That evening, he was headed home and heard a very loud roar from the other side of a 6 lane expressway. He tracked me down just from the noise and we had a good laugh over a bottle of wine.

Mine is quiet enough at idle, but with my foot in it, it is an adrenaline rush.

Can't wait for spring!!!
