less leg room in targa?
had my first experience of driving a targa at the weekend (a 2.4s from 72 - a beautiful car and such a fantastic exhaust rasp from it) a great smile from ear to ear enducing experience.
but is it just me or is there less foot room in it than its coupe brother? it felt like it.

targa legroom
I believe the inner fender wells intrude into the passenger compartment more than on the coupe. Something about trying to increase body stiffness.

But is there more head room and back seat room in a Targa?

JGalt is correct. Front legroom is less as a result of additional bracing necessary to stiffen the body.

The extra re-inforcement panel goes from the longitudinal and covers the area behind the wheel well. So really just the left foot rest area for the driver is smaller. Conversely the same is done to passenger side.
The pedals are in the exact same location as on a Coupe so when your feet are on the pedals the legroom is the same. Coupes can actually benefit from the same re-inforcement panels if you want to stiffen your chassis.

Just another of the many advantages of Targas over coupes.
