Rust repair

Does anyone have or know where I can get the repair panel for the drivers side lower door jam? I have done some searching with no luck.

Jeff

Try Restoration Design ...

Be advised you will hear horror stories regarding customer service..

I have bought from Bill for years and have never had a problem

I believe the part you seek is part of the outer rocker.

The dog leg?

I made this one, but I'm told Stoddards sells them.

I have not seen how bad the rust is as it is at the body shop but before it went I think it was a littel higher on the outer rocker. It may go in to the door jam too, I will know hopfuly this comming weekend.

I checked the Stoddards page and it looked like they only had stuff for planes?

Milt would be willing to make a second one?

Ask DarrylID on the board. He has an off the chart 912 restoration going on. He will have a good source for you.

Gotta have the car here to fit it. I have no idea what the 2 radii are. RD has the lock panel end the inner and outter rockers. Ouside of Stoddard Porsche (the dealer) you have to cut parts off a good car or fabricate them.

I am really close to taking a hacksaw to a 1980 911SC tub I have because of rust issues, and I am relatively close (geographically) as well. The door jam on the passenger side is bad the drivers side appears to be pretty solid. If you are interested shoot me a PM. I have 90% of the rest of the car as well so if there is anything you need to complete your project, I might be able to help.

It is hard to take a saw to a 911 even when it is a car that you have grown to hate.

Rich
