Boy, that's whole lot of everybody trying to avoid the fact that Porsche sells special oil-line wrenches. Not air-conditioner wrenches, not window-regulator wrenches, not brake-pedal-cluster wrenches...oil-line wrenches. They work. They're designed to work. They work better than "big Crescents." They work better than pounding on everything. They're designed to accept two four-foot iron pipes on the end of opposing wrenches, which provides enough torque to remove and replace the tracks of an M1A1 Abrams.

Buy the oil-line wrenches.

Steve,

Good advice in hindsight, I believe. However, too late now for me at least. I'm replacing the hard oil line...I should be able to get away with the flex oil line, right? I didn't cut the spinning-part of the fitting all the way through.
