1. Paul Weir 2. Gloves
First, I was told by a Seattle vintage racer last night that Paul Weir has filed for bankrupcy. Check first if you are going to send him work.
Second, I buy Nitrile gloves from Harbor Freight, 50 pair for $11.99. These medical style gloves are labeled for industrial use not medical. They do not disolve in gas. This post was brought on by the "What do you use to clean your parts" post. As was stated in the early posts,"BE CAREFUL". All of the things mentioned, stodders solvent, lacqure thinner, gas, naptha, acetone, and C-4 are bad for the skin. The further away fron these things you can stay means the longer you can play with your Porsche. Randy Jones 1971 911 |

Paul Wier is OK - they are re-organizing. I called them today after reading the above post. I was told that business will continue as usual.

I used to work for Paul Weir, and that guy is a total nutbar! I wouldn't be surprised if he is going under. When I left, he hired a bunch of "consultants" to help him, and they were completely worthless! He would be doing much better if he got rid of his tired used parts inventory, and gave more competitive estimates for service. To his credit, he knows his ***** when it comes to P-cars, despite being a whackjob.

Leland,
If you would stop letting your wife put C-4 in your mac and cheese as a spice, that funny twitch would subside and possibly go away for good! Just a thought... but if it tastes good, run with it! I still like C-Rats so that shows how far gone I am! Thanks for the info on the gloves, sounds like a good source. I have used medical style plastic gloves for years while working on various things. Lots easier than washing up for 30 minutes to get the grease from under the fingernails. Cheap at any pharmacy but will not work with gas... JoeA |

They are "re-organizing?"

In my business when someone "reorganizes" they have usually been sued the ***** out of. By "reorgainizing" they are merely writing off a bunch of their creditors.
