engine shroud

Hey guys,

I saw this new engine-shroud for sale at a reasonable price.

My original shroud has some cracks and the airduct is broken...

So I thought, just buy this new one instead of repairing the one I have.

Will the shroud in the picture fit on a 2.4 MFI-engine?

Thanks
Johan

Hi Johan,

Not without some modifications like drilling out the 3 holes on the rear for the MFI pump mounting plate. You will also have to notch out the six large holes for the injectors. You will also have to drill a hole so you can adjust the MFI pump through the fan.

The elbow area on the right rear looks like it has been painted, normally that is gray in color. I would ask the seller if the entire shroud has been painted and if so how was it done. The engine heat could cause the paint to fail at some point.
