Thanks to Bob & Chris.....

Thanks Bob & Chris,
Here's my refinished fuchs. Sanded out the imperfections, media blasted, lightly polished, scotch-brighted to take the gloss down, satin black backgound, then clear coated. I will let you know how well the finish holds up.

Regards,
al

Coming in late on this.....

but, to answer 300cd300sdl911 's question .......

....the lug nut recesses should not be painted as the paint itself can "crush" under the domed head of the lug nut...and is said to allow a 1/3 turn "backed-off" condition.... not good. You want as bare a contact as is possible. For reference, notice that the 5 "touch" points on the backside of the wheel are not painted either for the same reason.

Will,
I knew that......and I still screwed it up on my wheels. I need to get in there and fix that.
Thanks for the tip.

Regards,

Al

Looks great ...

I don't have Fuchs (yet) but would do that treatment to them.

I do use a 3M pad on my BBS lips ..similar look

As far as up keep:
I Use Gibbs on them and wipe off all excess with a terry towel.
Works great , keeps the look and after cleaning a quick re apply and, I am good to go. Would think that may work great on the Fuchs

If anyone lives around the Stroudsburg, PA (18360) I would be happy to dismount your set for free.

Just PM me!
