Question to all of you who have MilleMiglia 17 inch cup replicas
The MilleMiglia cup replicas are so cheap to buy that I'm starting to get interested. Therefore I'd like to hear if any of you have such wheels on your 911?
Is the quality/longevity ok? Are these wheels very heavy? Would you recommend MilleMiglia cup replicas? I know that the there are also replicas available from Indonesia, but those are said to be of poor quality. So how do are tell them apart? Thanks Mikkel |

I had the Italian reps on my 87. They were heavy. The finish and wheel material was very soft. I had it standing up, the wind blew it over and it fell over on it's face. There were huge, I mean huge/deep gouges in my brand new wheels. I wouold hate to see if I brushed a curb or something. Because of this and a sudden fondness for fuchs I sold them. I like the way the car feels with the lighter wheels. Having said this, I know of many people who are happy and satisfied with their Cups on an early car. It just didn't do it for me.

Well, the replicas are heavier than the Fuchs no doubt, but are the same as the factory cup wheels. The wheels should say "made in Italy". And I don't like the offset on the 7.5" replicas for the front. That's why they felt weird compared to your Fuchs. I used 7" RS America take-offs for the front with 21mm spacers and it feels just like the Fuchs as far as steering goes. You could use the 7.5" replicas for a 964 and use 21mm spacers for the same effect. As far as the softness goes, don't curb them and you won't have a problem. They aren't forged like the Fuchs but neither are the factory cup wheels.
