Safe to use brake-fluid blue hose on reservior and MC?

The two hard plastic brake-fluid hoses that feed the master cylinder from the reservoir on
my car have some nicks and scrapes and was wondering if it's OK/safe to run blue hose (made for brake fluid) throughout?
These plastic hoses are about $90 a piece, yikes!

As it is, with the bigger 23mm master cylinder I'm using, the hard plastic hoses (at least one of them) doesn't sit
very well on the master cylinder anyway.

The plan is to run the blue hose with two clamps at the reservoir and use an L shape and straight plastic fitting on
the master cylinder side.

As long as they're resistant to BF, you should be fine. But "throughout" only means from reservoir to master cylinder.

Sherwood is correct here (not that he needed me or anyone else to vouche for his knowledge )

The blue hose is used in 964 and on applicaitons for the hydraulic brake systems....no reason why it wouldn't work in this application.

When adding the 23mm MC does one run blue hose from the 90 barb fitting to the metal portion of the front hose and hold it on with hose clamps?
Thanks

Yes, the blue hose would only be used from the fluid reservoir to the master cylinder, in essense only replacing the hard plastic lines.

The barb fittings would go go on one end of the hose(s) and the other end will go up to the reservoir using clamps. I have to admit, those barb fittings don't inspire a whole lot of confidence though... has anyone sucesfully used those barb fittings on the MC side? When I bought my 23 mm MC from VCI, it came with a 90 degree fitting. The straight fitting has been a little hard to find, anyone knows who sells these for our application?

Sometimes finding the correct hose fitting can be difficult to find in small quantities. McMaster-Carr or Grainger are a couple of industrial supply companies that might have something. Check the specs on the fittings to confirm they're okay for BF which, btw, comes in two basic flavors; silicone-based and polyalkylene glycol-based.

However, I looked in my chemical resistance charts and couldn't find polyalkylene glycol. A BF dunk test with your fittings might confirm an adverse reaction, but I would research further. Look for the same material as used for BF reservoirs.
