Dumb Tire Question?
 

Hope this is not too stupid a question, but I need to replace the front tires on my 83. The rears are still in very good shape, so I am trying to hold out to do wholesale change until I can find a set of Fuchs. That all said, one of my local tire stores has same tire as I currently have, but it is a 205/40/16 instead of the 50's I currently have. Aside from a bumpier ride up front (is that possible?:rolleyes:), is there a problem with this choice I am not considering. This is for street use only.

Easier to dent a rim? Tirerack has the 205-50-16 in S03's for 80 each I think right now.

Another concern I had was clearance. It is probably not a problem, but just wondering. I guess I should also have clarified that these are used low mileage tires I was picking up for a song. That is the main reason I was consideirng them.
