ignition
I have an '81 911 SC Targa. My ignition switch is very tricky. I have already had a new key made. The locksmith said I would need a new ignition key assembly soon. I looked and it looks like this unit costs about $320. Could this part be substituted with a Volkwagen (cheaper?)part?

Pelican has the electrical portion of your ignition switch for $43.60, so, unless you are having problems with your steering lock ... it should fix your problem easily and economically.
