Alternator shop San Fernando Valley LA, Cal

Thanks to the search button and Wil Ferch I was able to diagnose and remove my faulty voltage regulator (87 Cab) without bothering anyone. Now, however, I am looking for some help.
Anyone know a good shop for rebuilding my alternator. I am in the San Fernando Valley (Los Angeles, Ca.)?
Jeff

Here you go:

Alternator Rebuilder or High-Amp New Unit

2+ years ago, he was talking about having the 'higher amp' versions. Assuming he finally expanded his business to offer the higher amps, I would go for it.

It was a couple of years ago, but when my alternator died I shopped around and the best deal was a factory remanufactured unit from the dealer. Believe it or not. Came with a great warranty as well.

Of course I bought it over the counter and installed it myself, their labor would have made the part price irrelevant. I was surprised, though.

I just used my regular auto electrical shop. I ask for failure analysis and chat with them awhile.

They give me a two year warranty and have fixed things under warranty that were not their fault. On a starter for a Range Rover at 175k original miles, they even gave me a larger Bosch replacement.

I had mine done at Foreign Alternator & Starter in Northridge (near Parthenia and Reseda). I think I paid about $75-85, and three-plus years later it's still going strong.
