Seriously though, my next big project is building a 3.0 liter based on an SC motor. Just got started on it. When done it will have JE 9.5:1 pistons in the stock Mahle nickasil cylinders, probably the Elgin or DC "Mod S" cams, SSI's, and most importantly, MFI. Parts are going out for inspection and renewall even as we speak.
This will be more than a springtime project. I'll be piecing it all together as budget allows until next winter, when it's going into my '72 T. I've got Wayne's engine rebuild book and all the time in the world, so I'll do all the assembly myself. |
I need to track down a couple oil leaks and repaint a panel or two. Also need to come up with a set of door panels.
|
Some cool projects some of you all got going.
Mine is not that exciting this year, 1. Replace dash not too sure what to get, leather or not. 2. New windshield 3. Time to adjust the valves in April |
Put my engine and trans back in and drive it.
New this winter: Clutch kit CV boots 5th gear synchro 16X7 and 8 Fuchs replicas Various seals |
Wash, Wax, Drive!
|
