Missing studs

Hi, i am a 914 owner who is about to replace is front suspension with a 1984 911 Carrera one.

One stud is missing from the rotors. Can someone explain to me simply what kind of studs i need?

My guess is that its a no-head screw that screws into the rotors with a bit of lock-tite, then the lugnut secures the wheel. Am i wrong?

I think that wheel studs are pressed into the hub from the back. The end taht mates with the hub is not threaded. I believe it has a mating collar with small spline-like things that run parallel with the length of the stud. I sure could be wrong though.

Told you i was a novive... Can it be that what i tought to be the hubs were in fact spacers over the hubs? Because the hole from where the studs is missing is threaded, and i see 5 other lugnuts on bolts between the 4 protubing studs.

Guess i bought the struts with 1 inche spacers on them and the missing studs is from the spacers.

I thought the spacers used the same studs as the hub, but this was purely an assumption. Spacers should be evident upon closer examination.
