zenith carbs on 2.7L

will a set of zenith carbs from my 2.2L fit on the 2.7L that I am going to be building?
I am trying to see all the expenses to get the motor running and it would be nice to be able to put these carbs on the new motor for a while until I can afford a set of webbers.

-Motor was a 2.4T. will the cams on this motor work when I go to 2.7 and what type of pistons am I going to need ?

any help would help

The T cams should work just fine. You didn't state what 2.7 P/C's you are using. Are they CIS or RS2.7? If they have a wierd looking humpy wavy piston dome, they are CIS . The Zeniths will work but the 27mm venturis will really choke the top end performance of this engine. But if it's only temporary, no problem.

Yes you can set the Zeniths up on the 2.7 and they will work JUST as good as Webers, and there will be no real reason to go to Webers. You will need to set up the right Jettings and venturies for installing Zeniths on the 2.7. I would also suggest using the early exhaust on the 2.7 to for more power and better cooling. Are you going to do any changes on the inside of the 2.7?

The Zeniths will work fine and if you set the Zeniths up right, jetting, venturies and so on, you will not need to go to Webers at all, there will be no gain, except Webers to "sound" cool when you same the name, Zeniths just do not have that ring'

Now, if you are going to take your 2.4 to a 2.7.

I would suggest standard 2.7 pistons and cylinders, used Nikasil would be a nice set up. If you want to raise the compression, then just mill the heads, it will also give you a better matting surface and omn mag case motors, this is usually a must anyways, you can gain 0.5 more.

On cams, the T cams will work but one of the main reasons to go to carbs is you can change your cams and gain around 20 more HP, a nice Solex grind would work great and for $300 hard to beat for the performance it will give you.

Also:
Time sert all head studs
Time sert long inner 8mm stud
24-head studs
Top and bottom gasket and bearing kit and other goodies will be needed.

Keep your old exhaust it will work great.

Also you may want to try openning the intake ports of the heads a little, since you will need to open the 2.2 manifolds anyways since they will be to small for matching to the larger 2.7 heads intake ports, its not hard and what a lot of my customers do is pick up a junk 911 head for practicing.

I HAVE THE CIS PISTONS I THINK (OFFSET DOME)
WILL THESE WORK OR WILL I HAVE TO REPLACE THEM. IF SO TO WHAT?
-I HAVE TWO EXHAUSTS I CAN USE HEADERS OR SSI
AND STOCK EXHAUST OR NEW BURSH MUFFLER WHICH WOULD BE BETTER.
