Can any one tell me where I can find out what options where available from the factory in 1973 for a 911 T.
More specifically was S exterior trim (front bumper/spoiler, rocker/door trim, and rear bumper) available as an option on a 911 T? The car is an early 73 T with MFI if that makes a difference.

T options
A T was available with most every item available on the other models. I used to own a 73.5 T that had factory air, sunroof, sport seats and full S trim as well as S brakes and TTG fog lights but came with cookie cutter wheels and side Porsche script since removed. Here is a shot before I sold it. Previous owner added wheels and removed side stripes. I would have kept it for a long time had it not been for the stigma of a replacement case due to a chain tensioner failure causing a catrostrophic event. I actually met a previous owner who owned the car back in the 70's on this board. Not many super high option T's around but I have seen others.

Daron, Thanks for the information and the photo. Do you know if the S trim package option was offered as 1 complete package including the interior and exterior. Or where they seperate items on the order form?
My car appers to have S exterior trim but the interior is what was called the luxury package with leather interior etc no sport seats. The S bumper is steel and the color is the gold metalic which was to my understanding available as a special order only. I am just trying to get an idea as to whether or not the car is rare enough to justify the expense of a complete bare tub restoration.

My 73.5 T has the exterior trim package...Also has the trim around the wheel wells...
I don't think I have the "S" interior, but do have the factory sport seats....

T options
Yes times have changed..That car on PCA was sold just a few months ago for mid $30's too. A stunning car no doubt, even with the weak clear coat on the silver and probably sell for it's current price. I seriously considered it then as I think the high option CIS T's a re extremely rare. Remember the production of that model was limited. I'm no expert but I think the two I have owned are phenominal cars to drive. Don't let any one tell you a 73.5 CIS car is bad!
Jwerion, yes S trim was an option code. My current 73.5T has it as well as wheel arch trim. This car has dealer added air but regular seats with tan houndstooth inserts. A very low option car compared to my old orange one but it is remarkably well preserved and well documented and original everything. It is the car that Tom posted the link to from several years ago and I still enjoy reading how everyone poo-poo's values when it's not their car. I feel like a genious for scooping this one up although I bought from the owner that purchased it at that time. Still way ahead of the curve on todays market. Jac1976, Yes there was factory air on 73's and there is a dramatic difference in instalation. The orange car had the front evaporator under the steel S dam (see those nerf bars) as well as Big S oil cooler in the front right wheel well. My current yellow T is dealer installed air but the good far outweighs the bad. Daron

Daron,
Thanks for the clarification. You have the same a/c as in my 73.5. Beautiful car! jac

I don't have a kardex on mine, so it's possible they're not factory items, but my 72 has an S front spoiler, S front brakes and a Recaro sport seat (driver's only).

My car has the S trim, wheel well trim 5-1/2" Fuchs, and dealer a/c. S instruments, too, I think. No S spoiler. M calipers all around.
Has normal seats, but I'm getting a set of factory sport seats to put in (the normal seats don't really fit me well). I'm also going to add some above-the-bumper driving lights, similar to the factory's, but not as pricey I'll be modifying a set of repro horn grilles for that; the originals will be packed away.

I bought a highly optioned 73.5 in 1975. It had S trim, S bumper/spoiler, wheelwell trim, sunroof, alloy brakes, front & rear sway bars, silver metallic paint, sport seats and a full lobster leather interior. The option it did not have was Fuchs. It had the ATS 'cookie cutters' on it.
