Can 915 linkage be adjusted here?
I know that it is normally adjusted at the coupler (No 32 in pic), but can it also be adjusted at No. 22?
Or does the set screw (No. 23) go into a hole in the bar (No. 26) so that there is no adjustment at that point? |

Sorry, no adjustment at 22. Be sure to tighten that set screw, though. It could cause some slop if loose. I countersunk the areas where we have set screws as a bit of added security.

I recently replaced shifter bushing on my '85.
#23 was a cone screw. The cone locates the cup holder (#22) precisely on the shaft (#26). Same was true for cone screw #33 which allows transmission removal without effecting shift adjust. I had the same question before I did it. Another note is #23 is 4mm hex as I recall, but my allen wrench was 1" long and caused interferance when trying to tighten. It would helps if was only 1/2" long. Only adjustment at #28. I marked it with white paint before removal. Reinstalled coupler without need for re-adjust. |
