Source for wire retaining clips
Does anyone have a link or part number for the wire retaining clips used in various places on the 911 Carrera enigine and transmission? I.e. on a 3.2 motor, used to secure the cruise control cable to the heater tube, as well as near the center of the intake manifold for another purpose; they are also used along the right side of the transmission to hold some of the sensor wires.
They are shaped like a look with a split "one-way" connector on the end that is squeezed and inserted through a hole in sheet metal or plastic. The end is squeezed to (attempt) to release the connector from its securing location. I broke a bunch of these because they get brittle, but I can't seem to find a part number in PET or find them available for sale. -- Preston |
Check ou any FLAPS, especailly NAPA. They have an extensive catalogue of every door panel faster, clip and electrical connections. I'm sure your "tie" is in there. Autozone might even have it, they surprise me sometimes. Another good source is Summit Racing. I think they all have online shopping.
More, would include Pep Boys and JCWhitney. Whitney may not be as good as they once were, but they have some estoric stuff. Who else would have a speedo cable for a '50's Jeep? Whitney had one. |
If it is the rectangular one that clips the blue plugs together close to the CIS fuel distributor check out Eagle Day (google Eagle Day Porsche). I bought two of them there when I had one fly off into some dark recess of the garage. They also sell nice restoration parts, wiring, connectors etc
