Color Match

My 1973 "T" was repainted before I purchased it in its original "Sepia Brown" color (dark carmel). All I am trying to do is get a pint of touch up paint and I cannot find one place here in this big southern city including the Porsche dealer for a match unless I buy it bythe gallon! All these high tech paint shops whom I thought carried these "spectrophotometers" for color matching are not coming through unless you purchase quantity. Anyone aware of anybody I can send my factory color number to and get a small amount of this stuff? Thanks.

Try another dealer, many advertise in Excellence. You should be able to get a stick

That's crap. They can usually mix up a quart. You just need to find somebody who is willing to do it for you.

My rear wing was pretty faded so I took it off, had it painted, and requested what was left over. I have a pretty good supply right now. If you don't have anything that needs painting, find a small supplier or go to a body shop that mixes their own paint. They are not going to mix a gallon to do a quarter panel are they? Just beg and plead if you have to http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/wink.gif

I was able to go to the local Parks paint store and they mixed 4oz of my color for $7. A quart is not much more.

Hey I got a half gallon of baby poo (sepia brown) enamel paint which came with my car. You pay shipping and its yours! It might
be little old but what the hey, the price
is right... I would love for the baby poo
paint to go to someone who would
can appreciate the color besides the late
F. Porsche.... 8{P

Let me know. I am Colorado.

I agree that this is crap. Any competent paint store can make you up a quart or even less. They'll put it in a 'rattle can' for you if you ask.
