simple tire question

i have dne a search and im mre confused now......i need four new tyres for 6 x 15 fuchs what is the widest tyre i can use , is it 215 0r no more than 205 ?

15x6 would be better off with 205. You could probably actually fit the 215, but the 205 will give a better performance.

+1 for the 205s; plan to stick with overall diameter that matches OE (is that 205/55?); the marginal extra width of a 215 (and that varies from mfr. to mfr.) probably isn't worth the extra hassle if they're close to rubbing; besides, aren't 215s getting pretty hard to find?

I've run 225/50 on a 6" wheel and it worked OK, but a 205/55 would be a little more stable.
