elephant, wevo, or something else?

I have ER's front bearings with stock sways, bilsteins on a street car.
I'm going with 21 or 22/28 bars the same time I do the rear arms. Now that I'm moving to the rear I face this question of who's stuff to buy. I didn't pay attention to the sps threads.
I want the easiest install foremost.
I DON'T want to take it back apart after I install it because of grease fittings or misalignment.
Is there a coilover option for a street car without welding anything?
this is a turbo carrera and is probably heavier than your regular carrera
I don't have a budget, per se, but I wouldn't go over 2k
Simple and painless is what I'm after.
I'd like to know what people would chose to do, and what they would buy.

I don't think you'll be able to get a quality coil over conversion for $2K on all four corners.

What exactly are you talking about replacing beyond TB's? All rear busings including trailing arms? Sways?

I suppose the simplest thing to do would be to replace the radius arm bushes with elephant if you're pleased with the front, the TB's and go with stock new sway bar bushings.

We're missing some infor, I think, like your goals, other than ease.

Street car? No way to even consider a coilover setup...thats done for racingreasons...easy corner weighting, spring changes and so on, BUT it requires significant load path redesign. Thats $.

But what do you want to replace, and why?

Wevos got a great product, but do you need it?

Chuck has a whole setup to..

or is it just the bushings you figure you want to replace "While you're there"?

Chucks polybronze and monoballs would be a good choice to replace worn stock components.

But, if you are rplacing the Tbars with stiffer, you really should swap your shocks to get the damping right for the new spring rates. It's all a package.........

Chuck/Elephant Racing. If I were to do things over again, I'd go with one of his suspension packages. You should check out his web site. Very interactive and (dare I say) fun.

I like WEVO's rear springplate setup if you are keeping TBs, though I have and installed the ER setup on my car. I think the WEVO is a better design and much easier to corner balance. Your own labor in cleaning up the spring plates, plating, and extra shop costs of corner balance / alignmnet setup probably make the cost a wash on the WEVO vs. ER.

OR You can buy a rear coil over setup that would likely work well and within your budget. Contact clint smith at rebel racing. 805.440.9849. He would probably offer advice as to whether you could live without additional chassis bracing. I think without extreme spring rates you would be OK. He also designed and sells a modestly priced front and rear coil over kits. He's great to deal with, as well. His company and Tarrett are teaming up to co-market their products. Ira (from Tarrett) designed one 1/2 of the 935 style suspension, while Clint designed the other.

Last I knew, wevo did not have the SPS for the G50 cars so I think your choice is limited by options avail. to the G50 car.
I recently went to the elephant bushings and tbars and like them so far. My car is migrating to dedicated track car. I agree with the above questions about plans. If you're bushings are still ok, new Tbars and shocks may be all you want to do.

I'm in the same situation with my car. The a-arms are out right now and so I need to decide on what to do. My can came stock with bilsteins.

How does the car ride as stock with the ER bearings? Can you tell a difference?

+1 on rebelracing. Check out their website: www.rebelracingproducts.com. They have nice stuff that is reasonably priced. Clint has a good rep according to many pelican members. When I inquired about the coilover kits he offered me and other pelicans a discount if more than 1 product was purchased at the same time.
I may start with the rear because of the required investment.

What about going to 993 multilink?
