Does anyone other than Colgan make one for the 911?

Art,
I have only seen the Clogan. I am thinking about borrowing one and making my own--I found some felt backed vinyl last time I had to take the g/f to the fabric store that felt like the same material. I have a sewing machine that can stich leather and two friends with Clogan's so I might go for it. I just don't know if $90 is worth the effort/time to make my own, plus the material was fairly expensive. Have to see what happens. My factory trained wrench friend uses the Clogan I assume they are the only ones available.

Thanks CarreraDan. $90 does seem like a lot, but I'd rather spend that than make one.

I don't know of anyone else who makes one, I have the Colgan...got it as a gift... and I use it all the time. If I didn't get it as a gift, I probably would have still bought it for myself. Very handy little pouches to hold your tools

Daniel, you know I liked KCs enough to 'suggest' it as a 'Fathers Day gift' or any other special day gift. It's not too expensive, and definitely protects the paint when servicing. I don't think it would be worth the hassle to make one. By the time you find the straps, hooks, etc., you'll probably have at least $90 into it.
A very worthwhile investment, IMO. Of course, it's just my opinion.

Mike,
I thought you had gotten one already. I was going to get one for Christmas, but with that guy wanting to buy the car Pam cancelled her order--maybe I will get one as a late Valentine's Day present to myself.

Art,
I have to do something to keep that new paint scratch free--I am terrible about droping/losing stuff while I work on the car. Last week, she did say something about the cover so maybe one will show up. I am extrememly lucky to have found a woman who understands my Porsche obsession--not fully agrees with it, but understands it. She gets the whole "car has a soul" thing since she had an old Mercedes for 8 yrs. It really works for us and I am fine with her having no desire to drive it, we tried that a few years ago and lets just say you don't want to learn to shift on a Porsche--wasn't pretty.

Dan,
Sorry for the misunderstanding. Yes, I have one. My wife and daughter gave me one as one of my birthday presents. I was very thankful. Of course, it is very nicely manufactured. However, I do wish the A/C lines on my car were long enough to where I could sit the compressor on the 'pad'... That's not the cover's fault. It's the short lines.I have to tell ya' Daniel, your future wife sounds alot like my wife, simply because she understands my obsession with my car(s) and TOLERATES it. She realized I was a 'car guy' when she met me nearly 22 years ago. Later, Mike

If you were going to make one, put some pockets on it nad a couple of folds to make an area to set a wrench or two so it doesn't slide off. I could see a whole plastic tray at the bumper to hold parts, etc.
