What's next?
You already have the larger CIS intakes and heads.
Regrind the cams to 964-profile and add about 10-15HP.
Keep the CIS but get yourself a used Bosch CDI module for spare.

Looks like the cruise control is gone too... Looks just like my car...
Now that big airbox and all the CIs stuff is just in the way ;-) I'm thinking carbs. That would really clean up the engine compartment !!!

I bought my used Webers here and bought all related parts online and shipped them to Tab Tanner in Findlay, OH and he did the "CIS to Weber conversion" project last December. Really cleaned up the engine compartment and the car rocks!!

If I just want to remove the blower and the hoses for now.
What do I do with the vents coming from the engine for now.

I won't need heat till fall and can do the full back date as a summer project.

john. you can cap it off with the use of a COKE can cut in half and a hose clamp. But seriously it only took about 2 hours to do the whole job. May take longer if you have the air pump and aircon in the way.

Looks good, VA911.
John:
Do a search for the parts needed and/or place an ad on PP.
However, you need to decide if you'll go with SSI's or stay with the stock HE's.
At any rate, after removing the blower, you have to cap the ends coming out of the shroud so the cylinders keep getting maximum air.
For now, keep the block-off plate on the right and cap the opening on the left.
Keep in mind that, when you remove the connections to the HE, the exhaust ports are no longer cooled.
The preferred way is to find the parts to re-connect the HE after the blower is removed.
You can try Frank in Chilliwack 604-823-4536. He has done the conversion many times and can help you but, you'll have to spend a few bucks.
