Cams in a 78SC

I have a 78SC and I do not know if it has stock cams. It is relatively docile up to about 4000rpm, then it comes on very strong all the way to redline. Is this about right?

Sounds like my 78SC, which has the stock cams.

Thanks to all. I guess I will have to make sure that it is always up on the cams when coming out of a corner.
