Help with 993 throttle switch

How can I test the throttle switch on my '97 993 Vario engine?

I have been trying to solve and idling problem and I suspect this switch could be causing the problem. It is impossible to see how this parts act on the throttle body. Does anyone has a pic of a throttle body where I can see how this switch operates?

I tested for vaccum leaks and it seems that there are none.

Also, can this little suck.. be exchanged without removing the engine???

Yes, it can be accessed. You need to identify your throttle cable on the throttle body. Just reach back over the Varioram toward the front center of the engine (from the left side). You should be able to feel the throttle plate with the cable connected to it. At rest, that throttle plate contacts the microswitch. When you actuate the throttle by hand, you should be able to hear a faint click when you close the throttle. I doubt that's your problem though. Cyntex definately isn't fool proof. The 6k rev limiter is more than a glitch. Took them a couple of years to figure out a solution. Mine idles around 1000-1100. Sounds like you're not far off.

Remember, if it ain't broke....don't fix it.
