I just asked the same question a few days ago. This clip is used a few other places on the engine and transmission as well.
No one could come up with a part number or direct replacement. I found "push in" cable zip ties that are a good substitute at Eagle Day, and I may end up using those. Sorry, not allowed to post the link. |
Jerry,
PM me with your address and I'll send you the closest thing I could find that worked for me, gratis of course. I have a few extra, I had the same problem and bought a bag of them from McMaster-Carr and have been dolling them out. Regards, |
Me too! Spent a good hour at the local Porsche dealership looking at parts diagrams, part is NLA. Went to install my new fan belt and wouldn't you know it, the clip was sitting in the shroud just below the lower fan pully. Sometimes you just get luckey!! Might be worth to take a look!!

I think the PET catalog is a little screwed up. In one place it called it a tie wrap and in another place it called it a clip (as below).
Here is the P/N for the clip from the 1987-89 PET: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1172334257.jpg Hope this helps SmileWavy |
Doesn't seem available from Pelican Parts, unfortunately. When I looked up that part number (477 971 851) at Stoddard, it is described as "IGN.WIRE". However, it is inexpensive, so I'll order a few and see what I get.

If anyone is interested the Mcmater part number is 7565K55
25 pcs in a pack for 7.95. You do have to cut to length but is a good replacement for this PITA part. |
