G50 w/ 930 brakes bleeding question...
I think I've been doing the order incorrectly, and can't find the answer in the archives. I've been bleeding clutch first, and then the brakes, outside, then inside. Could someone confirm that the 'best' order is the brakes first (inside bleeders first, then outside) LR, RR, RF, LF, then the clutch? Thanks!

You want to do the bleeder that is farthest from the MC and work closer. It isn't that critical but it is good practice.
The clutch is a separate system. It makes no difference if you do it at the 'same sitting' as the brakes. It is just good to get that fluid out of there at least once a year.

Thanks Wayne, but that's how used to do it before (i.e. outside bleeder, then inside). I believe it was a Jim Smolka post some time back (I can't find it) that indicated that 'my theory' was incorrect, and that the inside bleeders should be first. I've also found a post from Steve Weiner on Rennlist that states the clutch should be done after the brakes, so I'm now straight on that
![]() ps: I do agree, that it's probably not critical...I have GREAT brakes doing it the way that I have been. |
