Good points, of course. However, a commuter car where you get the best of both worlds is how I see this. And, I see a 912 as a donor car, not an SC or Carrera.

Several years ago, as I was looking for a 912, there appeared a 67 on e-bay that had been converted to electric power--it's out there somewhere.
