hello, all. do you guys know of a good and reasonable mechanic in contra costa or sonoma counties? and of course, an honest one. thanks in advance.

Get in touch with Mobile Works. There is an East and West, I would try Jimmy first (East) as he seems to cover this area more.

If you want an actual shop, S-Car Go is one that I can think of. There are more, I am just drawing a blank right now. Others will chime in.

If you haven't heard of Mobile Works, search the archives here. Nothing but GREAT reviews etc. I have used both guys and have always been VERY happy......

in contra costa county...john @ valhalla. he is in layfayette. he can get crotchety, but it is a fun game to go in to see if you get "happy john" or "groucho john". i am at 50%. he is good.

I have taken my car to Hi-tech and De jung. Both are excellent.
De Jung is a one man shop so sometimes its a week before he can book your car on the books.
